PLEASE NOTE that VisualDVR has limitations for legacy hardware on Windows 11 as listed below.
VisualDVR 2023 Edition - Supported on Windows 11
If you are using our newer hardware (most easily identified by having blue doors) then you will be running version 11 of our software and will be using VisualDVR 2023 Edition. In this case you have no hardware related restrictions if upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
VisualDVR Legacy Edition - NOT Supported on Windows 11
If you have older hardware with Winnov Videum SD video cards (Duo or Quattro), or with Vitec VMC-7440 HD/SD cards then on Windows 10 you will have been running VisualDVR Legacy Edition, and the following will apply:
Note 1: Winnov Videum SD video cards (Duo or Quattro): There is no Windows 11 driver available for the Winnov Videum SD video cards, so these legacy cards are no longer supported if installing VisualDVR on Windows 11. The Winnov Videum SD video cards will be supported only on Windows 10.
Note 2: Vitec VMC-7440: There is no Windows 11 driver available for the Vitec VMC-7440 encoder card, so these legacy cards are no longer supported if installing VisualDVR on Windows 11. The Vitec VMC-7440 will be supported only on Windows 10.
Note 3: Vitec VM2-C8 overlay cards: There is no Windows 11 driver available for the Vitec VM2-C8 overlay cards, so these legacy cards are no longer supported if installing VisualDVR on Windows 11. The Vitec VM2-C8 will be supported only on Windows 10.
Note 4: VisualDVR Legacy Edition: As described above, none of the cards used in VisualDVR Legacy edition is supported on Windows 11, therefore it will not be possible to run VisualDVR Legacy Edition on Windows 11.
